Wolfpack Athletics Expands Services to Include Softball with the Hiring of Rebecca Landry
Norfolk, MA - September 3rd 2026 -
Wolfpack Athletics announces the expansion of its services to include softball with the hiring of Rebecca Landry, a new Wolfpack team member with an extensive background in the sport. The addition represents a tangible step forward in the organization's plans to build a well-rounded softball program, beginning with group and individual training sessions at The Den, Wolfpack's newly opened home base in Norfolk, Massachusetts.
Landry brings experience as a softball player, coach and educator. She played competitive softball through the high school and travel levels before moving into umpiring and coaching. In 2024, she helped launch Barrington Middle School's first softball program, which captured a state championship in its second season. Landry is also studying Secondary Education and English at Bridgewater State University with a minor in Special Education Inclusive Practices and currently works as a substitute teacher with the Bridgewater-Raynham Public School Department.
“Rebecca is exactly the type of person we wanted to help us take this step,” said Wolfpack Co-Founder David Fleishman. “She has a great softball background, but what stood out to us just as much is her ability to teach and connect with young athletes. She's already helped build a softball program from the ground up, and we're excited to have her help us begin building ours.”
In addition to leading softball training, Landry will work with athletes through Wolfpack's Study Hall & Swings program, providing tutoring and academic support inside The Den.
Her background in education provides the expertise necessary for Wolfpack to further realize its philosophy of having academics and athletics live side by side. Landry will also be integral in building Wolfpack's softball program with the goal of launching its first team in 2027.

Celebrating six years of leadership, teaching and lasting impact on the Pack.
After six years with Wolfpack, Coach Anthony Castrogiovanni will be leaving the program as he and his fiancée move back home to Long Island following their recent engagement. We could not be happier for them as they begin this next chapter together.
Anthony joined Wolfpack at one of the most important moments in our program’s history. After our first season, Wolfpack doubled in size. That growth was exciting, but it also meant that David and I had to trust someone else with a major part of what we were building. We needed someone we could trust with our players, our standards and the culture we wanted Wolfpack to represent. We placed that trust in Anthony, and he never disappointed us.
Over the next six years, Anthony became far more than another coach in the program. He became an important part of Wolfpack’s growth and helped us build the program into what it is today.
His impact showed up on the field. Anthony helped lead Wolfpack teams to multiple playoff appearances and tournament championships. His enthusiasm and competitive spirit were impossible to miss. He wanted his players to compete, improve and believe they could rise to the moment.
But Anthony’s true impact cannot be measured by wins, trophies or playoff appearances.
He became a tremendous role model for our players. As many of our older players faced difficult moments both on and off the field, Anthony was there to guide them through those challenges. He cared about the person wearing the Wolfpack uniform, not just the player. That kind of influence stays with a young person much longer than the final score of any game.
That is what made Anthony so important to Wolfpack. He taught the game with passion, but he also understood that coaching is about relationships, trust and being there when a player needs you.
Anthony’s impact can also be felt in the foundation of The Den. Long before we were ready to open the doors, he helped us do the work that put Wolfpack in a position to create a permanent home for our players and programs. As we prepare to open The Den and begin this next stage of Wolfpack, Anthony will always be part of that story.
Coach Anthony, thank you for believing in Wolfpack when we were still building it. Thank you for every player you helped, every team you guided and every piece of the program you helped move forward.
Long Island may be home, but you will always have a home with Wolfpack. We invite our players, families and coaches to help us celebrate Coach Anthony.

Wolfpack Welcomes Jacob Nemergut to the Coaching Staff
Norfolk, MA - August 8 2026 - Wolfpack Athletics is excited to welcome Jacob “Coach Nem” Nemergut to our coaching staff, adding a young coach with collegiate playing experience, proven leadership, and a background in high-performance strength and conditioning.
Coach Nem spent five years as a student-athlete with the Lesley University baseball program, balancing the demands of college baseball, academics, and employment while maintaining disciplined year-round training standards. His leadership ultimately earned him the opportunity to serve as team captain for two seasons, where he helped lead team culture, communication, and accountability while serving as a liaison between players and the coaching staff.
His experience extends beyond the baseball field. In 2025, Coach Nem joined Harvard University Strength & Conditioning as an intern, assisting strength coaches with performance-based training programs supporting Harvard’s 42 varsity athletic teams. His role included supporting team lifting sessions and athlete-development initiatives while reinforcing proper technique, safety, and accountability. The experience also gave him exposure to high-performance coaching strategies and athlete-development systems.
Coach Nem is also continuing his own development away from the field. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lesley University, he is currently pursuing his MBA.
What makes Coach Nem a strong fit for Wolfpack isn't simply where he's played or trained. It's the combination of leadership, preparation, accountability, and a commitment to continuous growth that he brings to our athletes.

Wolfpack Athletics Launches The Den –
A Community-Inspired Sports Facility
Fully equipped multi-bay sports training structure works in tandem with
wide-ranging services that motivate youth to succeed on-and-off the field.
Norfolk, MA – June 23, 2026 – Wolfpack Athletics announces a major expansion of its successful club baseball programs with the opening of its state-of-the-art home base, The Den. Located in Norfolk, Massachusetts, the 11,700 square-foot and configurable, multi-bay facility will push the boundaries of what a local sports facility can offer its constituents. Set to open to the public September 7th of this year, The Den is designed conceptually and physically to go beyond bay rentals and workouts to include a special blend of skill enhancement, educational support, and leadership development.
At the heart of the facility is a membership model designed to increase access to high-quality baseball training through unlimited group instruction, specialized classes, and one-on-one athletic support. By providing a variety of training opportunities under one roof, members working with staff, customize their development experience based on their goals, interests, and needs. “We see our facility as more than a training space. We have thought carefully about how best to use each square foot within the Den with the objective of creating a hub for growth, connection, and opportunity,” said David Fleishman, co-founder of Wolfpack Athletics.
Membership also includes access to the Wolfpack Academy, a comprehensive development program designed to support athletes both on, and off, the field. One of the Academy's hallmark offerings is Study Hall and Swings, which combines tutoring and homework assistance with athletic instruction and skill development. Wolfpack professionals also provide guidance on college applications and essay writing, helping families navigate these milestone challenges.
The Academy also includes pathways for coach and umpire development. Participants mentor younger players, gain leadership experience, earn umpire certification, and officiate games – thus strengthening local baseball programs by creating a pipeline of well-trained and experienced coaches and umpires. “It’s been rewarding to work with the younger Wolfpack baseball players and help them develop the same love for the game that I have,” said Brendan Cengic, a rising senior at Westwood High School and former Wolfpack player.
“Sports teaches us how to compete,” said Aaron Fleishman, co-founder of Wolfpack Athletics. “Some of our members aspire to play at the highest levels of the game, while others will apply the lessons learned through this competitive arena in other important and interesting ways. Regardless of where playing and training for a sport takes them, the ability to compete confidently and overcome challenges remains paramount. The Den is designed to provide an environment where young athletes can develop the qualities necessary to pursue their own definition of success."
